Scarlet Promise Grants provide financial aid and emergency support for Rutgers students throughout the university. Rutgers' first foray into philanthropy-driven, community-wide access initiatives, the program became an institutional priority in 2018 on the impetus of the university's Board of Trustees. I led the rebranding of the program and initiated the marketing campaign represented here by select video and other collateral. We intensified this campaign in 2020 when, on his first day in office, Rutgers President Jonathan Holloway called for a $10 million philanthropic investment in Scarlet Promise Grants within the year.
